Quick Start

Get automated AI code reviews on your pull requests in just a few steps.

Prerequisites

• A GitHub account
• At least one repository you want to review

Step 1: Sign In with GitHub

1. Go to assay.it and click Sign In
2. Authorize Assay to access your GitHub account
3. You'll be redirected to your dashboard

Assay requests read access to your repositories and the ability to post PR comments.

Step 2: Connect a Repository

1. From the dashboard, click Repositories in the sidebar
2. Click Connect Repository
3. Select the repository you want to enable reviews for
4. Assay will install as a GitHub App on that repository

Step 3: Create a Pull Request

Open a new pull request in your connected repository. Assay will automatically analyze the changes.

Alternatively, trigger a review manually:

1. Go to Repositories in your dashboard
2. Click on the repository
3. Select an open PR and choose a review tier
4. Click Start Review

Step 4: View Your Results

Once the review completes:

• Findings appear as comments on your GitHub PR
• Full details are available in Reviews on your dashboard
• Each finding includes severity, location, and suggested fixes
